Soups, Socks and Snuggles for the orphans this winter

In its fifth year, the Soup, Socks and Snuggles campaign asks you to collect tinned or packet soups, socks and winter clothing

With winter right on our doorstep, it is time again for The North Coast Courier’s Orphan Fund‘s Soup, Socks and Snuggles campaign.

The drive aims to help vulnerable children on the Dolphin Coast keep warm and cosy during those cold winter days.

In its fifth year, the Soup, Socks and Snuggles campaign asks you to collect tinned or packet soups, socks and winter clothing in any colour, shape, size and flavour.

Showing off their fun socks are, from left, Mahi Ramnarain, Liam Nicholls, Ruby Curtis, Taryn Goble and Diya Chaithram from Ashton.

The North Coast Courier Orphan Fundraising coordinator June Mdolo said collection boxes have been placed at the following places:

  • Ashton International College Ballito, Crawford Pre-Primary and Prep North Coast, Sheffield Beach Pre-Primary, Curro Mount Richmore and Umhlali Prep
  • Ballito Gesinskerk
  • Lifestyle Super Spar
  • The North Coast Courier

Previous years have seen thousands of items collected and Mdolo hopes that this year would be a greater success.
