Investing in our kids

The construction of these creches is expected to start before the end of July this year.

Christmas came in July for the rural community of Etsheni and Hlangabeza in Maphumulo when the municipality in partnership with the Divine Life Society recently started work on two creches that will take care of close to 100 children.

“The creche we currently have at Etsheni is in a very bad condition and I am really happy that finally we are going to have proper creche that will accommodate double the amount of children we have in the mud creche,” said Ward 1 councillor Nkosinathi Sithole.

Maphumulo Mayor, Zibuyisile Khuzwayo-Dlamini acknowledged the initiative taken by the Divine Life Society in making Maphumulo community one of their priority in lending a hand to the future of children in the deep rural areas.

“We wish to extend our greatest respect and we are very grateful for having identified Maphumulo community and giving our children an opportunity to a brighter future,” said Khuzwayo-Dlamini.

The construction of these creches is expected to start before the end of July this year and will each cost R495 000.
