Digging deep for #SaferStreets
RE/MAX Dolphin Realtors went on a drive over July to support the Ballito and Salt Rock Neighbourhood Watch with their #SaferStreets campaign.
There was entertainment for one and all together with a yummy three-course meal during RE/MAX Dolphin Realtors’ fundraiser at Mamma G’s for the local Neighbourhood Watches on Saturday night.
RE/MAX Dolphin Realtors went on a drive over July to support the Ballito and Salt Rock Neighbourhood Watch with their #SaferStreets campaign.
The object was to assist the organisations to buy specialized automated number plate recognition cameras in an effort to make the suburbs safer.

Mamma G’s was packed to overflowing and guests bidding generously on the auction items. Winston Smile entertained everyone with a special rendition of ‘O Sole Mio’ several times over.
“The evening was a resounding success and we would like to extend sincere thanks and appreciate to Mamma G’s and Radio Life&Style 88FM, including every business and individual who donated whether small or large contributions, to #SaferStreets,” said franchise owner Kim Peacock. To date, a whopping R250 000 was raised!

“We can finally see that our Ballito Neighbourhood Watch big project idea of having automatic number plate recognition (APNR) Cameras at all entry and exit points for Ballito, Chaka’s Rock, Salt Rock and Sheffield Beach is coming to light,” said Ballito Neighbourhood Watch chairperson Candice Henderson.
“This is a very big step towards crime reduction that, thanks to the success of this fundraiser, is now turning into a reality for us all.”
Henderson said residents had made it clear that they want to support fighting and preventing crime, but they often do not know how.
“Our appreciation and thanks goes to Simon and Kim Peacock and Terence and Charlene McMurray and the entire RE/MAX Dolphin realtors team who went the extra mile. The camaraderie within the team is evident, and a large part of the reason that we think the fundraising drive has been so successful.”
