Reward offered for information on autistic child missing from Stanger children’s home
Search teams are out in the rain looking for the missing boy.
The community has rallied together in search of an 11-year-old, autistic boy who has been missing from the Inqolobane Children’s Home set on a farm on the Prince’s Grant Road, near Stanger since Tuesday afternoon.
Smanga was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, does not wear shoes and walks on his toes according to Vision 153’s Nelia Hulin who was helping with the search.
“He does not really speak but he will respond to ‘Smanga’ and a high five. We have reported him missing to the police and have search teams looking for him,” said Hulin.
Umhlali K9 Unit’s Sergeant Clinton Odayar said they had searched for Smanga until 10pm last night and started again at 7am this morning.

“We have about 70 volunteers including farm owners and workers, Prince’s Grant Golf Estate residents, staff from the home and IPSS Medical Rescue helping us look for the boy.
“The rain has made it tricky for the dogs to follow a scent, but we won’t give up,” said Odayar.
IPSS Medical Rescue has pledged to pay a R10,000 reward to anyone giving information leading to Smanga being found.
If anyone has any information about him, contact Kirsty at 082 787 2888 or if you want to join the search go to the home and speak to Yvonne who is co-ordinating the search teams.
