UPDATE: Body of missing autistic boy found – Stanger

A huge number of people came to volunteer in the search for the autistic boy.

After hours of searching in the cold, wet weather the missing 11-year-old boy Smanga from Inqolobane Children’s Home was found dead in a nearby swimming pool.

According to IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson Paul Herbst the boy may have fallen into the filthy pool of the neighbouring dilapidated farmhouse soon after his disappearance on Tuesday afternoon.

The body of Smanga has been found.

Police are investigating further.

The search for Smanga saw volunteers pour in from all sides to assist the search teams and keep them strong and warm with blankets and cups of soup.

The teams were out in the rain until about 10pm on Tuesday night looking for Smanga and started trecking through the mud again at 7am on Wednesday morning covering about ten kilometres around the home and in the sugar cane.
