WATCH: Demonstrators speak out against abortion in Ballito

The passionate group gathered on Ballito Drive to demonstrate against this controversial practice.

“Abortion is murder. Just because it is legal, does not make it right.”

Those were the words of pastor Aaron Munsamy, coordinator of the Life Chain peaceful demonstration against abortion held in Ballito this morning.

A small crowd gathered on Ballito Drive holding placards with messages condemning abortion, peacefully making their presence known along the busy road.

Nina Mcneil, pastor Aaron Munsamy and Danie Bosman say they stand against abortion.

“Over a million babies have been killed in this country over the past years and we say enough is enough.

“There is no baby who deserves to be denied the right to live.

“If you feel you don’t need the baby, there are other options and the best is adoption,” said Munsamy.

“Whether you do it at an authorised clinic or a backdoor clinic, abortion is wrong.”

The Life Chain demonstration was a build-up to the Annual National March For Life (International Life Chain Sunday) that will be held in Umhlanga on the first Sunday of October, where thousands of residents pray in silence while holding placards with messages discouraging abortion.

The National March for Life is organised by the National Alliance for Life – an affiliation of pro-life churches and organisations.
