Cyclist hit on N2 near Umhlali off-ramp dies

It has been confirmed that the man is a local however, his identity has not been disclosed.

Tragically, a cyclist died on Sunday evening after a light motor vehicle collided with a cyclist who had attempted to cross the N2 near the Umhlali off-ramp.

When advanced life support paramedics assessed the man they found no signs of life. He was declared dead at the scene.

“The driver of the light motor vehicle was lucky to escape with minor injuries,” said IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson, Paul Herbst.

It has been confirmed that the man is a local however, his identity has not been disclosed.
