#BreakingNews: Motorists claim vehicle using emergency lane hit pedestrian and fled
The pedestrian was declared dead on the side of the highway.
A vehicle travelling along the N2 southbound just before the Ballito off-ramp allegedly hit a pedestrian this afternoon around 3pm.
The call went out to emergency services who arrived at the scene shortly after the incident.
“Unfortunately, despite all efforts from advanced life support paramedics, the man – estimated to be in his 30s – was declared dead,” said IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson, Paul Herbst.

Motorists claim that a white VW Polo had allegedly used the emergency lane to overtake when the driver of the Polo collided with the pedestrian, said paramedics.
Authorities are currently at the scene.
