Tickets go live for Simola Hillclimb 2020
Spectators are urged to secure their tickets early as over the past decade the event has seen record crowds attend.

The Simola Hillclimb event in Knysna has opened its doors for ticket purchases for next year, where the event will be in its 11th iteration and promises to be better than ever having grown in stature, competitiveness and appeal locally and internationally.
Spectators are urged to secure their tickets early as over the past decade the event has seen record crowds attend. Even pit and VIP hospitality packages are limited.
“We are delighted with the growth and success of the Simola Hillclimb over the past 10 years, and in 2019 we welcomed more than 17 000 local and international visitors, which was a record turn-out for this event. With competitors continually upping the ante each year with wilder, faster and more spectacular machinery, the Simola Hillclimb continues gaining popularity in South Africa, and around the world,” said Ian Shrosbree, managing director of Knysna Speed Festival.
For the third consecutive year, the event organisers will keep the online bookings at the same price at R120 per person while children under the age of 12 years will gain free general entry.
Further incentives include discounted prices for visitors buying three or more tickets for the Classic Car Friday segment and a R100 saving online for visitors buying three-day passes in comparison to purchasing at the gate.
On the Friday visitors can expect a display of both road and race classics making their way up the hill while Saturday and Sunday will host the King of the Hill competition which will see the three categories; road-going saloon cars and supercars, the modified saloon cars category and the single-seaters and sports cars category compete for the ultimate glory.
