Introducing the only female trucking company director on the North Coast

Keeping the business small was a deliberate move from Nagapah, who uses her background in marketing to run her company day to day while balancing life between home and work.

From marketing and sales to buying a truck.

This unlikely turn of events made Kubashni Nagapah, a young entrepreneur and owner of Siyasiza Trucking, the only female trucking company director on the North Coast.

The birth of Siyasiza Trucking began three years ago when Kubashni decided to take a risk and purchase a truck that she had been looking at for a while.

“I always wanted to be my own boss,” said Nagapah.

Originally from Shakaskraal, Nagapah now lives in La Mercy.

“I bought a truck and refurbished it to a standard I would have wanted,” said Nagapah, also a committed mother of one.

After employing manager Rishen Maharaj to assist her, as well as a driver, the company grew to buy more vehicles over the years.

Keeping the business small was a deliberate move from Nagapah, who uses her background in marketing to run her company day to day while balancing life between home and work.

Nagapah is not afraid to get dirty, and often drives the trucks herself to and from her yard.

The exuberant and beautiful young woman loves the North Coast and wants to continue expanding her business, priding herself on the good feedback she gets from customers.

“I am very picky about where I get my material from, and keeping my trucks clean,” said Nagapah with a playful smile and a laugh.
