Organised by the Tongaat Child and Family Welfare Society, the Tongaat Charity Fair annually attracts hordes of eager people and serves the welfare’s largest fundraising initiative.

Funds raised are put to use in order to provide vital services in vulnerable communities.

Secretary Clyde Pillay said: “After much consideration and given the current situation regarding the large gatherings and the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we feel it is in the best interest of our community to postpone the fair.”

The fair has been rescheduled for 26-30 August.

Pillay extended his apologies for any inconvenience caused and thanked the community for its continued support.
