UPDATE: Loadshedding stage 2 continues on Saturday
This in-spite of the expectation that some generating units will return to service during this evening (Friday).

Eskom says loadshedding stage 2 will resume at 9am on Saturday morning, continuing until 10pm.
This in-spite of the expectation that some generating units will return to service this evening (Friday).
“We will continue with loadshedding. It is necessary in order to replenish the emergency generation reserves to better prepare for the coming week.”
“Due to the much colder weather, demand for electricity has risen significantly.”
Eskom said 3 of the units taken offline at Tutuka have been successfully returned to service.
The major fault in reduction of supply according to Eskom lies with the delayed return to service of a unit at Duvha power station.
Eskom asked consumers to use electricity sparingly.
KwaDukuza Northern Grid (Tinley Manor to Zinkwazi): no loadshedding under Stage 2
KwaDukuza Southern Grid (Tinley Manor to Ballito & Zimbali): 9am – 10.30am
