KwaDukuza municipality suspends Stanger refuse collection over Covid-19, again

The public are asked to keep their waste within their premises until services resume on July 28. 

Refuse collection was suspended today in KwaDukuza – including the street cleaning services in the CBD – after employees tested positive for Covid-19.

Areas affected include the CBD, Shakaville, Thembeni, Zamani, Soweto and Doringkop.

Municipal spokesperson Sipho Mkhize said services will resume on July 28.

In the meantime the municipality will  test all affected employees.

The public are asked to keep their waste within their premises until services resume on July 28.

To date, the iLembe district of KZN has 2069 confirmed cases and 18 deaths as of 21 July.
