Stage 2 loadshedding set to darken Friday

Loadshedding may continue into the weekend.

Loadshedding stage 2 will be suspended this evening at 10pm, and despite the return to service of four generation units today, resume at 8am tomorrow.

Loadshedding is set to continue until 10pm tomorrow evening.

“Breakdowns this week have removed more than 13 500MW of capacity from the system, while planned maintenance stands at 5 000MW of infrastructure.”

Eskom’s media desk said the generating plant continues to be unreliable.

The  loadshedding stage may change at short notice as a result, and there is a high probability that loadshedding will continue into the weekend.
