Stage 2 loadshedding set to hit this afternoon
This follows the breakdown of four units overnight and this morning, severely impacting on Eskom's ability to supply the country's demand.

Struggling power utility Eskom today shared that despite the return to service of generating units yesterday, stage 2 loadshedding will begin at 4pm today.
This follows the breakdown of four units overnight and this morning, severely impacting on Eskom’s ability to supply the country’s demand.
The situation is further exacerbated by the failure to return an additional unit to service yesterday.
“Any further deterioration in the generating performance may necessitate the escalation of loadshedding at short notice,” said Eskom.
Loadshedding is scheduled until 10pm this evening.
