Eskom continues stage 2 loadshedding from 9am to 10pm

The struggling power utility is calling on its customers to use electricity sparingly, and to switch off all non-essential appliances.

Any further deterioration in the performance of generating units could results in a shift to a higher stage of loadshedding, Eskom announced.

The struggling power utility is calling on its customers to use electricity sparingly, and to switch off all non-essential appliances.

Necessitating the need for stage 2 loadshedding, set to run from 9am to 10pm today, Eskom lost four generating units to breakdowns.

Six units were however returned to service earlier this week.

Here is how you will be affected today:

Tongaat CBD: 9am – 10am

Tongaat Beach: 8pm – 10pm

Belvedere: 9am – 10am

Stanger Northern Grid: 8pm – 10pm

Mandini B: 10am – 12.30pm

Ballito Southern Grid: Not affected

Mandini, Mandini 16 and Mandini A: Not affected
