Tongaat’s silver bullet, a timeless 2007 Audi A4 DTM always steals the show
This silver bullet out of Tongaat regularly features at car shows, including a number of show-and-shine events around the North Coast.
Giving a 2007 Audi A4 a timeless look cost Tongaat resident Kreeben Padayachee countless hours and even more money ensuring his car remains show-ready at all times.
Roaring to life with a touch of his toe, this Audi A4 immediately draws attention with its custom full 76mm exhausts.
The limited edition A4 DTM Edition sedan was bought second-hand by Padayachee for R165 000 about 7 years ago.
Since then, he has put his money where his mouth is in an effort to improve on an already extraordinary vehicle.
“I am not a fancy guy, but I like nice things. So this car was perfect for me because it does not appear fancy, but the finishing touches I added to the car makes it nice,” said Padayachee.

Padayachee has upgraded the power plant with K04, S3 injectors, a RS4 control valve, a K&N Flat Pad Filter and CPi stage 2+.
He added a custom exhaust and a H&R suspension.
The A4 remains glued to the road with Pirelli P Zero tyres, comfortably wrapped around 20″ rims.

“But it would not have been complete without an upgraded sound system,” said Padayachee.
“I want nothing but the best for my car. So whenever I need to add something, I go for Audi original parts from the newer models.”

“In 2016, I won the Verulam show-and-shine show. I was happy to get recognition for the car because it has a special place in my heart. As much as I want to be an attention grabber, I try not to make it stand out too much because I still use it for daily driving,” said Padayachee.
