Creativity is contagious and you’re invited to spread it at The Gallery
Facilitator Jane Digby said they were creating an interactive space, encouraging the public to connect deeply with the art.
An exciting change is coming to The Gallery at the Studios at Ballito Lifestyle Centre this week.
With a new and exclusive line-up of art pieces set to grace the walls come February 5, facilitator Jane Digby said they were creating an interactive space, encouraging the public to connect deeply with the art.
Digby invited writers and musicians to bring their creativity to the table, to create music and literature to accompany the art on display.
While no covers are allowed, artists are encouraged to produce their own songs and writers familiar in the writing of Haiku are invited to do the same.
A Haiku is a Japanese poem of 17 syllables, in 3 lines of 5, 7, and 5, traditionally evoking images of the natural world or inspiring a deeper meaning of thought.
Digby has suggested writers of Haiku come into The Gallery to view the pieces on display, and then provide her with a Haiku in person.
“We are bringing ‘Contagious Creativity’ into the fold of things at The Gallery. Our latest exhibition will run from February 5 until March 9,” she said.
“It is our intention to bring the arts together in celebration and we hope our local artists will support us in this effort.”
