King of the Shorebreak on Sunday owing to weather

With bad weather predicted on Saturday, the fundraising event, King of the Shorebreak, has been moved to Sunday, May 23.

Body surfers are invited to bring their A-game in support of pro-life animal rescue organisation, Sables Creatures.

Sables has been severely inundated with animal rescues and an ever-increasing veterinary bill, with fundraising initiatives only recently being started again.

In an effort to alleviate the strain faced by the non-profit animal rescue organisation, a series of events have been organised for the upcoming months with the King of the Shorebreak being held in conjunction with Mozambik and Concha.

It costs R100 to enter, and from great food to drink options on the day, attendees and entrants can look forward to loads of prizes, live entertainment and even a ‘man-kini’ competition.

First prize includes a weekend away at Champagne Sports Resort and entrants from as young as 5 up to the ‘ballies’ may enter. Registration starts at 8am.
