Simbithi and Partners for Possibility bring extra room to RA Padayachee’s youngest

A 4-year long partnership with Partners for Possibility and Simbithi Eco Estate has seen RA Padayachee Primary’s facility improved by the addition of a much needed classroom.
The Shaka’s Head school has been battling for years with a shortage of classroom space, specifically affecting the school’s early childhood development (ECD) offering.
This changed last week Monday when Simbithi Eco-Estate officially handed over a brand new ECD classroom, much to the delight of principal, Aleen Maharaj.
School staff and students broke out in song and dance as a show of thanks to the estate, which partnered with the school in 2017 when paired together in the first North Coast circle of the Partners for Possibility initiative.

A sum of R110 303.42 was raised during a golf day in 2019, though the gift was delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Partners for Possibility (PfP) is a flagship programme of non-profit Symphonia for South Africa.
PfP aims to improve the quality of education by equipping principals from under-resourced schools in South Africa by partnering them with leaders in business.
“This is a historic day. Simbithi, I cannot even begin to thank you for what you have done for our school. To you, it might seem like a small gesture but, for us, it means everything. We will look after this gift you have given us,” said Maharaj.
Eco-estate general manager, Malcolm Samuel said he was proud to be associated with the school, and extended thanks to the community for their generosity.
Simbithi Country Club golf chairman, Brad Caulfield joined pupils in a rendition of the Jerusalema dance, while also pledging further support to the school.
