Razzle dazzle dancing as pros and amateurs put on a performance at Umhlali Country Club
In a plush event replete with ballgowns and crystals, North Coast residents were treated to performances from the duo as well as amateur dancers, Doreen and Nokothula.
Salt Rock based dancers, Ryno and Elena van den Berg showcased their wide array of talents at Umhlali Country Club on Saturday, May 15.
In a plush event replete with ballgowns and crystals, North Coast residents were treated to performances from the duo as well as amateur dancers, Doreen and Nokothula.
Ryno and Elena are married both in life and in a passion for dance.
They performed the Paso Doble, Cha Cha Cha and Egyptian Rumba, but the pairing has a skillset that extends much further.
They are 7 time SA Latin American dance champions and have performed on stages across the globe.
Now settled in Salt Rock, they run the Passion for Dance school where amateurs and professionals alike can get tuition.
“We have found that people genuinely just want to get out and live life again. Dance is simply about bringing people together and it is incredible to see how people of all shapes and sizes can get involved,” said Ryno.
Familiar hits from ABBA, Elvis and Credence Clearwater Revival got people onto the dance floor, shaking the rust off of their signature moves.
The next Social Dolphins event will be held in June.
