KwaDukuza R&B musician King Wanda gains airtime with new song, Empini

Upcoming KwaDukuza R&B musician Wanda Gumede (aka King Wanda)’s new song Empini is climbing in popularity.
Empini is playing on the Gagasi FM top 10 R&B charts music sessions, which is a huge confidence boost for the musician.
The 27-year-old Shakaville resident received a surprise phone call on-air, last Wednesday from the Show’s DJ, Collen Zondo who congratulated him on entering the R&B charts and briefly introduced him to the station listeners.
The song is part of his EP which was released on Tuesday morning and includes songs titled Die Young, Better Days and Beautiful which features VIN, Everything, Ngifuna Wena featuring Sain, and the radio edit of Empini.
The EP consists of 6 tracks and is titled Lost & Found. It was produced by Irvin Nxumalo who is also from KwaDukuza.

He accomplishing his childhood dream by getting the coveted Golden Ticket in the popular talent contest.
Out of 15 000 entrants in this year’s season, he was one of 100 entrants that scored a Golden Ticket and won the approval of Randall Abrahams who is known for being a hard nut to crack.
His journey in the talent show was short-lived, leaving in the theatre week phase of the competition.
He dusted himself off and released his EP, plus a music video to accompany the lead single.
Sunday will mark King Wanda’s biggest gig as he will be performing at the Gagasi FM unplugged session on the Urban Soul Radio show with Collen Zondo.
Artists like Amanda Black and Black Diamond have graced the show before him.
“I have been working on this dream since I was 14. It still feels strange to watch everything that you have prayed for finally becoming a reality and unfolding right before your eyes. I have not even accomplished 15% of what I have set myself out to achieve in this lifetime, the future seems so exciting,” he said.
