Man overboard at Hazelmere Dam, search to continue tomorrow
A man reportedly fell off his boat this afternoon and did not resurface.
Search and rescue divers were called to Hazelmere Dam this afternoon where a 30-year-old man allegedly fell off his boat and did not resurface.
At around 3pm, it was reported to authorities who have since searched for his body, but to no avail, said IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson, Paul Herbst.
Saps and Metro Police rescue, dive and K-9 units and IPSS search and rescue, searched for around 2 hours stopping for safety reasons.
This was the second water-related incident in as many days after a 6-year-old boy was swept out to sea near Zimbali. 6-year-old boy was swept out to sea near Zimbali.
