Kolisi Foundation jumps in to help with flood relief
Since April, the foundation has distributed crucial food hampers at community halls in areas most affected across KwaZulu-Natal.
As the region’s communities are slowly regaining their footing after the devastating April floods, hundreds of displaced families are still in need of support.
Enter the Kolisi Foundation, founded by Springbok rugby captain Siya Kolisi and wife Rachel, which has collaborated with partner organisations on the ground to respond to the plight of those who lost everything.
Last Wednesday, LG South Africa and Feed the Nation Foundation came on board to provide 37 more families with grocery support.
Kolisi attended the first distribution of the hampers from Pick n Pay Ballito, along with representatives from LG and Feed the Nation.
“LG is one of Siya’s commercial sponsors. He always encourages people or companies that work with him to become involved beyond the call of duty,” said Mahlaste Mashua, CEO of the Kolisi Foundation.
