Dogs stand guard over dead hunter’s body found in Tongaat
KZN police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Nqobile Gwala confirmed that the body of a 52-year-old man was found with no visible injuries.
The body of the missing hunter was found on the side of Walter Reid Road in Tongaat on Sunday.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) spokesperson Prem Balram said the man and his neighbour left their homes in Tongaat on Saturday night to hunt in the sugarcane field.
“They split up during the hunt, but the elderly male and his three dogs failed to return to his vehicle. His neighbour walked back to his residence and informed his family, who immediately launched a search party.
“His lifeless body, guarded over by his dogs, was discovered on the side of a gravel road,” Balram said.
