Enter #ILoveMyNorthCoast photo competition!

It's time to show off your photography skills and who knows, perhaps you could walk away with some of the great prizes.

Enter The North Coast Courier and PrintWild #ILoveMyNorthCoast photography competition and you could win incredible prizes!

We are looking for the photographs that capture the essence of life on the North Coast, its people and rhythms of life.

Extra points for photos that evoke emotion or tell a story.

This includes photographs of people, landscapes, animals and sport.

The only photos not allowed are sunrises and sunsets (the exception being when a person or animal is the main subject of the photo).

Bebhinn Spoors entered this creative masterpiece in the 2015 competition.

Anything else goes as long as it was taken by you on either a cellphone or DSLR camera.

Entries will only be accepted from people living in the newspaper’s distribution area between Umdloti and Mandeni on the North Coast.

There is a maximum of two entries per person (enter on Facebook and Instagram).

First prize – Faceblock Wall valued at R3 560

Second prize – A2 Contemporary Framed photo collage, valued at R2 126 (including design fees).

Third prize – Canvas Collage valued at R1 879.

Fourth prize – Dark wood Box Frame valued at R719

Fifth prize – 20 Tiny Tots valued at R560

Sixth prize – The Mini Photo Box is a miniature version of The Photo Box valued at R285

Alison Pearson took 2nd place in 2016 with her photo “Puddle power”. This was taken in a Ballito
sugar cane field during a fun ride with her son, Ethan, who is always up for a thrill.

To enter, follow us and upload your photograph on the competition post on Facebook and/or enter on Instagram with the hashtag #ILoveMyNorthCoast

Include a caption for the photograph stating where and when it was taken.

Entries will open on August 10 and close on August 29, with winners announced on August 31.

We would love to print as many of the best entries as possible so please be prepared to email a high resolution image (at least 500kb) to editor@northcoastcourier.co.za if you are selected.

Printwild prizes can be converted to any PrintWild product of the same monetary value.

  • By entering a photo into the competition, you are ensuring us that you have permission to use the image.
  • The photo must be taken by yourself. The North Coast Courier, PrintWild and other sponsors will not be held liable for copyright infringement.
  • Entries must be taken with a mobile phone or DSLR camera.
  • Photos must be submitted without the addition of watermarks or signatures.
  • Inappropriate entries including obscenity, nudity and other imagery not meeting the judges’ approval will be disqualified.
  • Printwild prizes can be converted to any PrintWild product of the same monetary value.
  • Winners can supply any image for printing, high quality images will be needed for larger format prizes.
  • Delivery of PrintWild prizes is included to major centres in South Africa only, delivery to outlying SA areas or international delivery is not included and will be for the winner’s account.
  • All photos may be branded with the North Coast Courier and PrintWild logos for the purposes of the competition.
  • The entrants give the North Coast Courier and PrintWild permission to publish their photographs free of charge, in print and online.
  • The judges’ decision is final, no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Employees of PrintWild and North Coast Courier may not enter the competition.
  • Printwild prize vouchers are valid for a year from date of creation, are not transferrable and may not be exchanged for cash.
  • This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.
