New restaurant opens at La Montagne

The new restaurant offers nothing but seafood, making it the perfect option for lovers of the deep blue's cuisine offering.

Foodies of the North Coast take note: an exciting new seafood restaurant has taken residence at La Montagne.

PoliPetto Bar and Seafood officially opened last week, bringing a laid back but sophisticated take on Mediterranean cuisine.

It is the newest restaurant from the team behind Mozambik Ballito, as well as some additional culinary minds.

Kelly Jade Reddy, Sidney Boulanger and Imran Omar enjoyed the evening.

PoliPetto – meaning octopus in Italian – is right on theme, with literally no land-based meat options available.

“If it does not swim in our oceans, then you will not find it on the menu. We will deliver the freshest seafood from our shores daily,” said Jono Rootman at the launch.

Tanya Stanissis and Karen Cominelli.

Aside from an intimate indoor space on La Montagne’s second floor, there is also a terrace overlooking the ocean.

The restaurant is open daily from 11am to 10pm.

Karien and Friso van der Wal-Friso painted the octopus mural in the background.
