Big turnout for women’s Umhlali Classic bowls tournament

Players from across KwaZulu-Natal ensured the bowls on show was of the highest quality.

Eighty-eight players flocked to Umhlali Country Club for the annual women’s bowls tournament last weekend.

With Bidvest McCarthy Toyota Ballito as the main sponsor, the rolling of wood skills were top-notch.

Secretary of the Umhlali Bowling Club, Liz Foster, said the event was a great success and thanked all the sponsors for supporting the event.

The winners were Monique Well and her team, followed by Jill Buzzard’s team in second, Glenda Matthews and her team in third and the Cindy Roos squad in fourth.
