Morning feast treat at the Ballito Gesinskerk
The popular bazaar proved to be a sweet affair.
The always highly-anticipated Ballito Gesinskerk bazaar was again well supported at the weekend.
Members of the Gesinskerk community and residents arrived in numbers to enjoy the home-baked goods and treats on offer.
The bazaar used to be an annual event, but has become a quarterly occasion in a bid to boost fundraising opportunities for the church.
“It was obviously difficult to fundraise during Covid-19, so we are trying to hold as many events as possible. Aside from the church itself, we also support a number of non-profit organisations with the funds,” said the church’s Leonie Spangenberg.
Congregants donated most of the food on offer, allowing for the entirety of the proceeds to go to good causes.
Funds raised from the most recent bazaar were shared with Tuinsig Retirement Home in Berea, Durban.
