Opening of new boutique hotel brings a slice of luxury to Ballito
The establishment meets all the requirements of an exotic location.
As if transported directly from Malibu, Sala Beach House is the latest boutique hotel in Ballito.
It recently opened on Ocean Drive, providing 180-degree views of Thompson’s Bay and the Indian Ocean.
Developed over five years by the Rutherfoord family, construction began in 2021.
Designed by Paul Nel Architects, the hotel is split into three distinct sections.
The main house contains seven rooms, while the adjoining villa houses another three with separate living spaces, decks and pools.
The final piece of the puzzle is a bespoke spa, with rooms for sauna, massage and other treatments.
This is also open to the public not staying at the hotel.
Professional landscaping adds to the aesthetics and was done by Bernice Rumble of the Land Art Studio.
