Potjie cook-off a roaring success at Westbrook Ski Boat Club
The potjie competition had not been held for the past two years and serves as a fundraiser for the Westbrook Ski Boat Club.
A potjie cook-off at Westbrook in support of the local ski boat club was a simmering success on Saturday.

The annual event had not been held for the past two years owing to Covid-19 restrictions.

It serves as a much-needed fundraiser for the club, which also raised funds this year for the Westbrook Security Initiative.

Heavenly smells from oxtail to curry pots filled the air, with camaraderie to match as teams battled it out for first prize.

Claiming the honours were the Beach Boys, followed by Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Flintstones.

“We want to thank all the teams for supporting the initiative. The food was truly amazing at every single stand. Everyone had such an enjoyable day, especially after our two years of Covid lockdowns,” said organiser, Shaun Cothill.
