Talent beyond their years from junior singers at Ballito Junction Talent Fest
Catch the next round this Saturday at Ballito Junction from 2-4pm.
Belting out tunes and enthralling the crowd, the first Ballito Junction Talent Fest singers showed that competition will be tough this year.
Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, the talent show has returned, giving an opportunity for the North Coast’s best young talents to showcase their ability.
The juniors kicked things off on Saturday, with eight under-13 entertainers doing their best to wow the judging panel.
Rozalia Munsamy (7), Charlotte Wheeler (8), Jessa Rapley (8), Karen Mhlanga (9), Ungihlenhile Zulu (10), Nongcebo Langa (11), Mzwakhe Bultitude (12) and Jordyn van Wyngaardt (12) all sang two songs of their choice.
These eight were selected from all of the entrants and even making it this far was an impressive effort from the youngsters.
Hosted by Kgosi Kgalegi, judges Sam and Sim Maistry, Jonny Be Good and Carl Manicum had the difficult job of choosing the top four.
Van Wyngaardt, Mhlanga, Zulu and Langa were the four chosen to advance to the grand finale on October 15, where they will compete for R10 000.
They will be joined by four seniors (aged 14-18) who have their first round this weekend (September 24).
