Top singers bring their A-game at Ballito Junction singing competition
Of the eight performers, Miyolo Tundzi, Kyra De Maudave Bestel, Nikkisha Isabelle Gokol and Precious Phakathi will be heading through to the grand finale at Ballito Junction on October 15.
It was as if seasoned musicians had taken to the stage at Ballito Junction on Saturday, where rising artists wowed the crowd.
Vying for a cash prize of R20 000, musicians continued to battle it out in the senior youth singing competition (aged 13 to 18) held at the shopping centre.
Talent was plentiful, but two stood out from the rest with Kyra De Maudave Bestel and Miyolo Tundzi impressing the audience with their slick performances.
Performing a Tina Turner version of Proud Mary, the original song created by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Miyolo’s energetic stage presence commanded the attention of the audience and the judges, who even started singing along.
Of the eight performers, Miyolo, Kyra, Nikkisha Isabelle Gokol and Precious Phakathi will be heading through to the grand finale at Ballito Junction at the level six astro turf area from 2-4pm on October 15.
