Bursting at the seams with unique offerings, SuperSpar Salta is a grocery, gift and high quality food outlet all wrapped into one.
Situated in the Marine Walk Shopping Centre, North Coast shoppers had their first opportunity of experiencing the store over the weekend after it opened on September 28.
It is the third outlet of owners Paul Jason and Clayton Engelbrecht, who also run KwikSpar Glenore and KwikSpar Blair Athol.
The construction of the new centre allowed the duo to develop this store from the ground up.
“We have been involved with this project for the past two years, so we could design it exactly as we wanted from day one rather than refitting an existing space,” said Engelbrecht.
As you enter there is the extensive deli section, where a number of freshly made food options and bespoke stands are available.
You can set up a workstation and grab coffee at the Saint Frank Café, followed by a taste of authentic gelato or sushi for lunch.
Harley’s East Coast Pizza offers wood-fired goodness too, giving one delicious options with grab-and-go convenience.
Elsewhere, Karoo Kitchen run the butchery and Brookes & Will offer SuperSpar Salta’s ‘guide to gifting’.
Sixty-seven staff have been hired from the surrounding communities, all of whom were previously unemployed.
“We are passionate about supporting the community that supports us and have given the staff extensive training through The Culture Lab,” Engelbrecht said.
