Loadshedding moves to stage 2 daily [TIMES]

Eskom did not give an end date for the current bout of loadshedding.

South Africa will experience stage 2 loadshedding between 4pm and 5am until further notice.

This was announced by Eskom just days after a ventilation duct collapsed at one of Kusile Power Station’s six generating units, potentially leaving it offline for months.

A unit at Majuba also remains offline with 14 107MW of power currently unavailable as a result of breakdowns.

A further 4 963MW is offline due to planned maintenance.

Eskom did not list an end date for the current bout of loadshedding, saying only that they would communicate further changes going forward.
