North Coast churches brought families together for the Light Party on Saturday night at Grace Family Church outside Ballito.

Dressed in neon, about 400 adults and children enjoyed carnival games, crafts and having their faces painted and hair sprayed in bright colours.

One of the organisers, Robyn Smith, said they had raised R8 000 which would be donated to a local charity.

“We thank our sponsors Premier FMCG – Durban Wheat Mill and Bakery, Jawbone and Economy Supply Store for their support, and to all our volunteers for making the evening such a great success,” she said.
