The laboratory will not only assist pupils in boosting their skills levels, but having internet access will significantly enhance their ability to learn about the world and take advantage of e-learning programmes and online courses.

A whole new world of possibility has opened up for Umphumulo Primary School’s 600 pupils in KwaMaphumulo.

The computer laboratory, housed in a container on the school’s premises, for the first time provides pupils at the school with the ability to learn computer skills and access the internet to enrich their studies.

The container comes with 24 laptops, a TV screen and projector, printer and WiFi router.

Umphumulo Primary School pupils salute Hesto for the donation.

The donation forms part of Hesto’s commitment to shared value creation and creating a world of difference.

Hesto said the computer laboratory was identified as one of Umphumulo Primary School’s most pressing needs, and the project perfectly aligned with the company’s CSI policy and theme of ‘being of service to others is what brings true happiness’.

The laboratory will not only assist pupils in boosting their skills levels but having internet access will significantly enhance their ability to learn about the world and take advantage of e-learning programmes and online courses to enhance their academic studies.

The facility will also serve the broader community.
