Two injured in Seaward Estate house fire
Swift response by the local fire department saw the blaze extinguished in under an hour.
A fire at a Seaward Estate home in Ballito on Thursday evening left two people injured.
Calls for help went out on a local WhatsApp group shortly before 7pm yesterday evening with emergency personnel responding swiftly to the blaze.
Within less than an hour the blaze had been extinguished by the KwaDukuza Fire Department.
The fire was reportedly contained to the top floor.
Paramedics said a bystander assisted a resident of the property to escape.
Samantha Meyrick of IPSS Medical Response said they treated both the injured before taking one person to a local hospital for further care.
