Man loses leg in N2 crash near Mandeni

The KwaDukuza fire department assisted in freeing the man from the car. 

The severity of the collision on the N2 between a car and roadside railing this morning has seen a man in his 40s lose his leg.

The accident happened around 7am near Mandeni.

IPSS Medical Rescue’s Revati Priya said the driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, had suffered a traumatic amputation of the leg.

Medics worked to stabilise the man at the scene before taking him to a hospital for further care.
