The body of a man believed to be in his thirties was recovered this morning, after he drowned while fishing in the Tinley Manor lagoon last night.
“According to eye witnesses, the man was casting his net when he disappeared below the water.
“His fellow fishermen were unable to locate him,” said IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson, Samantha Meyrick.
Teams were notified this morning and the search began with the help of paramedics, Saps, NSRI and KDM lifeguards.
With the addition of divers and drones, the body was located shortly after and handed over to Umhlali Saps who were on scene to investigate further.
