iLembe Democratic Alliance team for 2024 elections
The regional leadership was elected at the Umhlali Country Club last weekend.
The road to the 2024 general elections is well underway for the iLembe Democratic Alliance (DA) who elected its regional leadership last weekend.
Kathleen Naidoo will serve another term as DA chairperson of the region, after retaining her position when the party election was held at Umhlali Country Club on Saturday.
“A great task lies ahead to lead the regional DA into the 2024 elections, which many pundits consider a watershed election. As a team we can bring about the much needed change at every sphere of government,” said Naidoo.
iLembe district municipality councillor, Krsna Sing, was elected as the deputy chairperson, while KwaDukuza municipality (KDM) councillor, Thulisile Mthethwa, was chosen as secretary.
Ndwedwe municipality councillor, Mnqobi Sibiya, was elected to serve on the Association for Democratic Alliance Councillors, with KDM ward 22 councillor Privi Makhan serving as the fundraising co-ordinator.
