UPDATE: Missing KwaDukuza girl found after guardianship mix-up

Mbalenhle Dladla's biological mother had allegedly collected her from school without informing her guardian.

Mbalenhle Dladla was found this afternoon after it was discovered that there had been miscommunication between her biological mother and guardian.

Dladla (8) was reported missing this morning after she did not return home from school to her guardian’s home in Ntshawini yesterday.

According to KwaDukuza Saps spokesperson, Constable Sipesihle Myeni, Dladla’s biological mother had collected her from school, allegedly without informing anyone.

“The biological mother lives in Shakaskraal and arrived at Lloyd Primary to pick her up without telling the guardian. A ward councillor was able to find the mother and I can confirm that the child is safe,” said Myeni.

Further details are currently unknown.
