KwaDukuza teen killed in alleged accidental shooting

The second boy allegedly involved escaped without injury.

A 14-year-old boy was killed this afternoon after it is believed he and a friend were playing with a loaded gun.

The alleged accidental shooting took place on Clover Road in KwaDukuza just before 5pm this afternoon.

“The boy was shot in the chest and was unfortunately declared dead on scene by the paramedics who arrived.

“The second boy sustained no injuries during this horrific incident,” said IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson, Dylan Meyrick.

KwaDukuza Saps were on scene and will investigate further.

They had not returned a request for comment at the time of publication.
