Two die in head-on collision at Groutville
Both drivers died and 11 passengers were injured in the collision.
A head-on collision between a taxi and a car on the R102 at Groutville this morning left two dead.
Emergency services quickly responded after being alerted about the accident.
“Unfortunately, both drivers involved in the collision succumbed to their injuries and were declared dead on scene,” said IPSS Medical Rescue’s Samantha Meyrick.
Medical teams worked tirelessly to provide immediate care to injured passengers.
Among the casualties, five individuals sustained moderate to serious injuries, while six others suffered minor injuries.
After being stabilised, they were transported to different medical facilities for further treatment.
