Widespread power outages in KwaDukuza

The KwaDukuza Municipality has issued a notice stating that significant maintenance work by Eskom will be ongoing until 4pm today.

Several areas in KwaDukuza are currently grappling with power cuts as a result of an Eskom emergency shutdown.

The KwaDukuza Municipality has issued a notice stating that significant maintenance work by Eskom will be ongoing until 4pm today.

The affected areas include the northern part of Ballito, Chaka’s Rock, Salt Rock, Tinley Manor Beach, as well as various locations along the Milton Feeder, Sheffield, Shaka’s Head, lmbonini, Compensation inland, Umhlali, Shakaskraal, Shayamoya, Nkobongo, Glendale, Cranbrook, Rietvalley, and Etete.

The Gizenga substation in Groutville is also impacted, causing power outages in Malende, NewGrout, Thembeni, Dube Village, parts of Charlottedale, and sections of Melville.
