Man dies in head-on collision on N2 near Zinkwazi

Circumstances surrounding the collision are being investigated

The driver of a vehicle involved in a head-on collision on the N2 near Zinkwazi this morning was declared dead at the scene by emergency responders.

Both the deceased and his passenger were left trapped in their vehicle, as was the passenger in the second vehicle.

The KDM Fire Department successfully extricated both injured individuals. The passenger in the second vehicle was critically injured and rushed to a nearby hospital after being stabilised by IPSS Medical advanced life support personnel.

The second vehicle’s driver escaped with moderate injuries.

Circumstances surrounding the collision are being investigated.
