Entrepreneur finalists on the move
Finalists in this year's competition represent various sectors - from information technology and manufacturing to agriculture.
The boarding call has sounded and 25 finalists are on track to take their businesses to new heights in the 2023 iLembe Entrepreneur competition.
The annual entrepreneurial development programme is presented by the iLembe Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, in partnership with Enterprise iLembe, Airports Company South Africa, Siza Water, ENGIE Peakers Operations and The North Coast Courier.
Finalists are exposed to intensive business modelling through tuition and practical application as part of the programme co-designed by the University of KwaZulu-Natal and US-based Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
During Saturday’s first briefing session, finalists received a lecture from founder of True Awakenings Training Centre, Anneme Coetzee.
She spoke on empowering one’s mindset to actively pursue success by dealing positively with change and obstacles on the road to success in business.
Her insight into the neuroscience of fear, risk, motivation and resilience, coupled with practical guidance on sound decision making, proved invaluable.
