Former KDM senior manager killed in N2 accident

The driver of the bakkie was seriously injured and taken to hospital.

Sithembiso Zungu, a former senior manager in the KwaDukuza Municipality’s community safety department, was killed in an accident on the N2 near Ballito last night.

Zungu was the passenger in a bakkie that lost control and rolled multiple times just after 10pm.

No other cars were involved.

Sithembiso Zungu in 2018, while still employed by the KwaDukuza Municipality.

“The driver of the vehicle sustained critical injuries and was stabilised on the scene before being transported to a nearby facility for further care,” said IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson, Kelsey-Jae Meyrick.

Zungu joined the municipality in 2013 and had recently left to take another opportunity with the Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs.
