Update: M4 hit-and-run victim dies from injuries

The 38-year-old woman was performing pre-warning flag duty at a road construction site near Desainager.

The road construction worker airlifted to hospital yesterday afternoon after sustaining critical injuries in a hit-and-run incident on the M4, died last night.

According to IPSS Medical Rescue’s Kelsey-Jae Meyrick, she was found down an embankment about 20 metres from the impact site.

According to eyewitness reports,  she was hit by a white Hyundai SUV driven by a female at around 3:15 pm.

The vehicle will have significant damage to the front left side.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information is asked to contact the police.
