Bloom colour run bursts with vibrant fun for special needs school

The event saw spirited participation in various race categories.

Manor House was awash with colour and excitement on Sunday as large numbers of North Coast residents participated in the Bloom Colour Run.

The fundraising event, organised to support Bloom Special Needs Therapy Centre and School, was a joyful expression of community spirit and generosity.

There was no escaping being doused in all kinds of colour.

Bloom fundraiser Debbie Nicholson said the huge support was much appreciated.

“Funds raised will assist us to continue the work we do at Bloom for the rest of the year. Lalela Estate and Manor House were incredible hosts and couldn’t have done more for us to make sure everything went off without a hitch,” said Nicholson.

After a tough race, the young gents got to enjoy some shave ice.

The event saw spirited participation in various race categories.

In the U12 girls category, Pippa Wang claimed first place, followed by Emily Wang.

The Kenmuir family – Max, Rob, Louise and Jamie.
Linde van Lobenstein and Tatum van Zijl.

Henry Smithers won the U12 boys race with Blake Nicholson in second.

In the over 12 years category, Max Nicholson and Jesse Wang tied for first in the male division, with Alivia Cilliers winning the female division.

Team Alexa emerged as the victorious team of 10 or more participants.

Besides the run, residents got to enjoy food stalls and children spent their energy on the jumping castles.
